ANOTHER WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST? NOT IN OUR NAME! DON’T ATTACK IRAN!
William Paul Society, Derby CPB, Indian Workers Association and CND meeting during Peace Week
NAVID SHOMALI is an expert on issues of Imperialism and War.
Navid took a leading role in the Iranian revolution against the Shah in 1979, and was forced into exile
as the fundamentalist forces of political Islam attacked socialist revolutionaries.
He is the International Secretary of the Tudeh Party of Iran,
and has unrivalled knowledge and analysis of the situation there, and the threat presented by US Imperialism.
Starting with the current threat of attack on Iran by the USA, he will explore the origins and nature of
Imperialism in the world generally, and the threat it represents to the peoples of the world.
This builds further on the challenging ideas he brought to Derby last year, predicting the growing crisis.
