We’re back! Yes, Spring is in the air, the sap is rising, and it’s time for another fine City-Zen One Mic night of excellent talent from Derby and beyond. And it’s St. Patrick’s Day, so take a drink in honour of the man who drove all the snakes out of Ireland.

This night is radical, honest, mindblowing, tender, loving, funny, open hearted. Come and watch, come and perform in a supportive and open environment.
Spoken word, music, poetry, comedy, dramatic monologues, mime, interpretive dance… You get one mic, and you can do what you like! Contact on facebook if you want to get a slot.

We always have a great and varied selection of performances, from tender confessions to passionate protest songs, side-splittingly surreal comedy to heart-wrenching gut-spilling spoken word.

FEATURED ARTISTS: Kaia Hristova, poet. A little dream-dispenser, glitter sprinkling magician. Forever in love with the ocean.

Kezzabelle: Performance Poet & Weaving Words Co-ordinator:-
Mistress of Mischief and Wordsmith Wench. A thought provoking open, passionate poet inspired by life experiences, observations, love & adventures. Sharing fun, energy, dulcet tones & smiles across the land in her performances, her creative writing workshops & her books.

Suggested donation £3 on the door, all money collected goes towards Derby People’s Diary and their public service Zine project to publicise and celebrate radical, grassroots & social change making community projects in Derby.
