Here is a list originally compiled by Derby People’s Assembly, but we are updating it as we hear of more actions and keeping it up to date.

Can you give a bit of your time in this crucial election in the battle against austerity cuts and privatisation? And for a fairer, greener and more caring society… we cannot be neutral in this election! We are not blindly supporting a particular party – we are trying to help bring about real change in the situation we are in – to do this we need to get Conservatives out, and Labour in.


DAILY  LEAFLETTING / DOORKNOCKING meet Vernongate, 10am/2pm/5.30pm. At this point leafletting may now be the priority.

Wednesday 11th December – March for the Many – join us for 30 mins – 1 hour at some point during the day with our ‘Please. Vote. Labour. FOR THE MANY’ banner, complete with red balloons, during the day at key points of high traffic or footfall:

08.30 – 9.00 Derby Bus Station
9.00 – 10.00 walking round ring road to Curzon Street stopping wherever seems right

12.00 -12.15 LUNCHBREAK SPECIAL!!! Derby Market Place – meeting by the waterfall
12.15 – 1.30pm walking down Sadlergate, to Derby College, up to top of Queen St, Irongate, St Peters St, Spot, back down to East St, ending near bus station crossing. (may take longer!)

16.15 -16.45 Derby Bus Station
16.45 – 17.30 then walking Traffic St, London Road, to train station

17.30 -18.00 Derby Train Station.

Thursday 12th December – ELECTION DAY – as many people as possible needed to help get the vote out FOR THE MANY – Take time off work if you can and head to Vernongate to find out where you’re needed, from 7am – 10pm….
