The Derbyshire Green Party

“The Derbyshire Green Party is a political party whose main aims are to promote sustainability, care for the planet and care for the weaker and disadvantaged in society. We are committed to building a society which is fairer, more democratic, more compassionate and more caring of the planet where we live on. We work with other organisations and political parties to achieve common goals. We are active in opposing racism, homophobia, islamophobia and other forms of hate.

Our party covers the area of Derby City and the county of Derbyshire, with the exception for the borough of Amber Valley, who have their own local party. We have a local committee focussed on the issues in Derby City. Our meetings are every second Wednesday of the month from 7pm in The Brunswick Inn, 1 Railway Terrace, Derby DE1 2RU. If you are interested, feel free to come to one of our meetings or contact Marten Kats, chair of the Derbyshire Green Party, at rmkats@gmail.com. We can also be found at Facebook on our page: Green Party in Derby City and on Twitter @DerbyGreens.
